The Home Care Packages program offers government-funded aged care support for older Australians living at home.
Home Care Packages can offer a higher level of support than what is available through the Commonwealth Home Support Program. They are ‘Consumer Directed Care’ – which means YOU choose the services that YOU want and which provider you want to deliver them.
Because this program is so flexible, with so many options to choose from, it can often be a little overwhelming when you are getting started.

This session is for consumers/residents, their families and representatives. It will provide an overview of Elder Rights Advocacy (ERA) services, advocacy and the rights of people who may be accessing Commonwealth funded aged care services (residential, home care packages, Commonwealth Home Support Programme) or seeking to access these services. It will include how to seek support and also advocate for those rights to address any concerns.
