Today, we share the uplifting tale of Alya, a dedicated volunteer whose bond with 99-year-old Signora Rosa transcends generations and cultures.
Meet Alya, a vibrant 24-year-old of Indonesian descent drawn to the ACVVS program with a strong desire to make a difference. Little did she know, she was about to embark on a journey that would enrich her life in unimaginable ways.
Signora Rosa, a remarkable soul of Italian heritage, welcomed Alya with open arms into a world seasoned with wisdom and adorned with memories of a bygone era. From the first visit, magic unfolded as they formed a connection that defied age and cultural barriers. Alya’s presence brought a new light into Signora Rosa’s life, reminding her of the joy of shared experiences.
In her own words, Alya shares, ‘Regarding my visits with Signora Rosa, I’m happy to share that they have been going wonderfully. We’ve established a strong connection, and I believe we are well-matched in terms of our interests.’
