It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to former Elder Rights Australia President and OPAN chairperson Mary Anne Hunt, who died yesterday after a short illness. Mary Anne was a passionate advocate for aged care rights and a powerful voice for change.
The Board and staff of Elder Rights Australia mourn the death of Philippa Campbell, former Chief Executive Officer, on February 24th 2023, at the age of only 56.
Elder Rights Australia (ERA) is pleased to announce that Debra Nicholl has been appointed as CEO, and Janis Porter has been named as the President, replacing Mary Anne Hunt, who had held the position for the last eight years.
Elder Rights Australia (ERA) would like to acknowledge the life of Margaret O’Callaghan, who passed away on Sept 8th, 2022. It was our great pleasure to know and work with Margaret. She was an inspiration! Her role as a founding member of the Older Persons Action Centre will not be forgotten, as her legacy lives on in the work we do today.
